End of season wrap up: OCT 1, 2012

The 2012 season is over and this year had one of the most unusual weather patterns in recent memory. High winds and sudden snow showers combined with unseasonably warm weather. We were lucky that we only lost about 13 trees here at the lodge during the windstorm. Some of our neighbors across the range had even higher winds.

All in all, dall sheep hunting continues to be the most challenging, there seems to be a lot of dall sheep out there, but not a lot of adult male dall sheep. Regardless of the species hunted though, for the most part all the hunters put in a lot of time in the field and did a lot of walking.

They put in a lot of hunting days at several locations, saw a lot of rams, but they were all just a little too small.
